Blackhawk Presbytery invites you to learn more about the Indigenous Peoples of Illinois.
The Land Acknowledgement Task Force (LANA) will be hosting a trip to Apple River Fort State Historic Site on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. It is their hope that by learning the history of of the Indigenous people who lived in Illinois before European settlement, members of the Presbytery can expand our thinking, honor the past, and create a peaceful and just future. This trip is just the beginning of the journey!
